Kong Jizhao (1924 - 1995), Beijing person (styled herself Yanjing lady), she was a great lady, the 69th generation descendant of Confucius, Chinese famous Chinese fine brushwork painter, art educator. The wife of famous Chinese landscape painter Mr. Yang Xia lin.
Good at fine brushwork figure, bird and flower, with emphasis on the integration of traditional, realistic and creative works, her works are smooth and powerful, the color tone is bright and elegant, interesting and vivid. Her childhood love of art, early schooling at the time the highest institution of Chinese art circles Beijing art school. 1943 transferred to Chongqing National Art College Chinese painting major, learn from many masters, such as Yu Fei ai, Chen Zhi fo, Pan Tian shou, Li Ke ran, Wu Fu zhi, Huang Junbi, etc.
After graduating in 1945, in 1940 she was teaching at Chongqing Southwest Academy of fine arts, Kong Ji zhao’s skills and creative ideas in 40s were obtained many masters’ recognition and praise, she has made brilliant achievements. Especially during the Anti Japanese war for the students to raise funds support may paintings to the front, then drew a lady portrait sent to a patriotic general Feng Yu xiang, general Feng after watching so surprised, thought its very well with the painting inscription encouraged, "Not as Mulan, not like Qin Liangyu, if you can learn Dan Niang (by Dan Niang: for the former Soviet Union heroine in the Great Patriotic War), also get lost territory". During in Chongqing, Kong Ji zhao created many paintings.
In 1946 Kong Ji zhao and Yang Xia lin held a joint exhibition in Sichuan Dazu and Yongchuan, at that moment just twenty-two years old, very successful, created a great sensation.
In 1949 came to Xiamen Fujian, was one of the founders of Xiamen Lu Chao school of fine arts, was taught at the school after found school (later renamed Fujian Arts and Crafts School, now is Fuzhou University, Xiamen Academy of Arts and Crafts), engaged in art education and art creation more than thirty years, cultured countless students, so called has pupils everywhere.
Ms. Kong Ji zhao later moved to the United States, retired during the United States, still created a lot of paintings.
The main works including "Pick Tea Leaves and Snap Butterflies", "Chen San Wu Niang", "Zheng Cheng gong recovered Taiwan”, “Chai Tou Feng", "Three Fu", "Offer longevity", "Taiwan Orchid Butterfly", " Fishing in Autumn Pond", "Turkey and White Stone", "Night Blooming Cereus"and so on, the last century in 50s the creation of New Year paintings "Chen San Wu Niang" become a classic China New Year paintings.
The last century at the beginning of 80s, invited by Ministry of culture, Ms. Kong Ji zhao and Mr. Yang Xia lin on behalf of Fujian province to Beijing to join in painting work of the Great Hall of the people and the State Guest House and other national hotels, created a large number of exquisite works during the period.
Ms. Kong Ji zhao in Beijing in 1979 for the 30th anniversary of the People's Republic of China specially painted "Offer Longevity Peaches" as tribute, Magu of " Offer Longevity Peaches", dressed in Tang costumes, graceful and elegant, extraordinary charm. A national exhibition in Beijing on Deng Xiaoping and Deng Ying chao have been appreciated, and Deng Xiao ping bought the painting, achieved a much told tale.
In 1984, she created with sincere feelings of “Taiwan Butterfly Orchid", which was selected in the sixth national art exhibition, be the best than all the others, and endowed with a poem: "Taiwan butterfly orchid grown in Fujian.
